Features#

RUM: Product analytics#

• Introducing product analytics dashboard for better visibility into product metrics.
• It includes metrics related to user behavior, traffic patterns, sankey chart (to see user’s journey through platform), user adoption & retention.

Pipeline for Serverless#

• Log ingestion control, JSON log parsing, option to add custom labels to logs, sensitive data masking - all these features are Available in creating pipelines for serverless.

APM#

• APM → traces → trace detail → error tab. Here Added stacktrace in a better and more readable format. We are now using the same view of stacktrace which we are using in OpsAI.

Updates in Agent installation#

• Kubernetes auto instrumentation:
  • updated UI and added an option to auto detect and show executable paths.
  • Allow users to show instrumentation mode Otel native vs eBPF.

• Linux auto instrumentation
  • Updated UI to handle existing vs new host, mode of installation (DEB/RPM) and service discovery part.

Prometheus integration upgrade#

• Added an option to filter by pod name regex so users can scrap metrics for any specific database (ex: redpanda, mongodb, postgres) Prometheus metrics instead of all DB running inside cluster.

PostgreSQL integration upgrade#

• Added events, query sample collection, top query collection, connection pool metrics for postgreSQL. These metrics are enabled in the default dashboard of PostgreSQL.

Browser testing#

• We now have added the option to import recording from google chrome recorder.

UX Improvements#

• Earlier, log severity was not automatically detected in certain cases where keywords like “error” or “warning” appeared in the log body. now its auto detected.
• Pie chart labeling (on hover) is improved, we now display labels based on different values in groups by using them while creating pie charts.
• Added error message when no source logs are available in “related logs” tab inside log drill down.
