Release 2.3.7 shipped on January 29, 2025.

Features#

Anomaly and Forecasting Alerts#

  • Anomaly alert detects when a metric is behaving differently than it has in the past and based on anomaly score, it will send alerts.
  • Forecasting alert can be used to predict how a metrics will behave in the future and you can set alert before a threshold is breached with forecasting alert.

Kapstan Integration#

  • As a part of partnership with Kapstan, we now give Kapstan integration to users.

Regex tester#

  • Extract custom attributes as filters from log body using regex parsing. You can test their regex by putting sample data in the regex playground.
  • Access it from: Settings → Ingestion Control → Select host → custom control

Azure Integration#

  • Added support for 35 new Azure services, including:
    • Azure AI Search, Analysis Services, API Management, App Service Environment, App Service Plan, App Services, Automation, Backup, Blob Storage, Cognitive Service, Container Apps, Container Instances, CosmosDB, Data Factory, Data Lake Analytics, Data Lake Store, DB for MariaDB, Event Grid, Event Hub, Express Route, File Storage, HD Insights, IoT Hub, Key Vault, Logic App, Network Interface, Notification Hubs, Public IP Address, Queue Storage, Redis Cache, Relay, Service Bus, Stream Analytics, Table Storage, Virtual Network.

Improvements#

Alerts improvements#

  • Option to hide graphs from notifications.
  • More options to set customized values for re-notification of alerts.

Logs#

  • Multiline log support: now multi-line log will come as a single log
  • Lazy loading: now users don’t have to go through pages by pages for logs, with lazy loading, a batch of 100 logs will be loaded automatically on scrolling.
  • Fixed the issue of log content getting cut out at the end part. You can see full log content with an expanded log view.
  • Fixed the issue of no data in the log list when there is data in the time series chart of logs.
  • Improved the select & search experience when users select any random string from the log and search with it.
  • Date & Time picker with seconds: you can set seconds (along with hours and minutes) to filter logs

Ingestion Control with Config Profile#

  • Now, you can create multiple config profiles (a config profile is a set of rules for ingestion control) and apply them to different hosts. This makes it easier to set up ingestion control for multiple hosts, and also allows users to apply different settings for different groups of hosts.

Service Monitoring in Prometheus integration#

  • The Prometheus Kubernetes integration enables you to scrape Prometheus metrics and ingest them into Middleware seamlessly.

UI and UX#

  • Adjustable sidepanel view: you can adjust the length of detail side panel by drag and drop for all modules.
  • Auto instrumentation script merge: Added merged script so there will be one script only for auto instrumentation.

Bug fixes#

  • Pods → Kubernetes events: Fixed the issue of Kubernetes events not displaying for specific pod when we go to Pod detail screen → event tab.
  • Fixed the issue of Kubernetes agent component not restarting when we save ingestion control settings.
  • Fixed the issue of loading alert listing.
  • Fixed: Not able to create Node memory usage alert. It was because the data sent by Kubernetes agent was missing for some time range due to missing attributes.
  • Fixed the issue of wrong date in daily digest email.
