Release 2.8.1 shipped on August 26, 2026.

## Features

### APM

- Updated UI and UX for traces and span view detail panel.

### Zenduty for alerts

- Integrate Zenduty via [integration](/integrations/zenduty-integration) to use it as notification medium for alerts.
- Once integrated alerts will automatically create incidents in the selected Zenduty service with severity mapped to the incident priority.
- Incidents in Zenduty resolve automatically when alert in Middleware recovers.

### RUM

- Revamped [Session Replay UX](/features/rum/session-explorer#session-inspector) for easier navigation and finding key events and mapping it all in one place.
- Jump directly to errors, network/console events, or user actions in the timeline and video.
- View screen changes, errors, user actions, network events, and Web Vitals in one activity panel.
- Search and filter events by type and severity.

### Dashboard builder

- Split by Graph: Create one graph and split it by an attribute (e.g., CPU utilization by hostname) to automatically generate separate widgets for each host.

- Heatmap Graph: Visualize utilization spikes and hotspots by attribute using a heatmap.

- Added an “Apply All” option to apply filters, group by, or rollup settings across all queries while creating a widget with one click.

### OpsAI

- Added VCS commit history, blame, and diff tools for better investigations of issues.
- Added support for uploading images in new chats, alert & dashboard creation. OpsAI can now analyze data from uploaded images and provide RCA and solutions.
- Stack trace: if stack trace detail is missing then we are using minified stack-trace and infer stack details from it.

## Improvements

### Stability & Performance fixes

- Removed unused and old components in frontend to enhance performance.
- Fixed in logs → pattern panel drill down screen for UI flickering issue.
- Fixed validation issues when creating synthetic tests with assertions without values.

### Other improvements

- Added an option to grant the Middleware Support team account access directly through the User Invite section.
- Updated side filter scrolling behavior and pop-out expand UX to avoid overlay to main screen.
