# Application Performance (APM)

APM traces a request across every service it touches, then keeps the profile, the logs and the host metrics attached to that same trace. You instrument once per service — with an agent for most languages, or manually where no agent exists — and the correlation comes from request context, not from you tagging things by hand.

## APM Use Cases

- [Configure Application](/features/apm/configure) — Instrument a service and choose what it sends
- [Traces](/features/apm/traces) — Follow one request across every service it touches
- [Services](/features/apm/services) — Map dependencies and spot slow or failing services
- [Continuous profiling](/features/apm/profiling) — Find the functions using the most CPU and memory
- [Endpoint monitoring](/features/apm/endpoint-monitoring) — Discover API endpoints and track latency and errors
- [Database monitoring](/features/apm/database-monitoring) — See the queries and calls slowing your services

## Related Features

- [Logs Management](/features/logs) — Search, filter and turn log patterns into metric
- [Infrastructure](/features/infrastructure) — Hosts, Containers, Kubernetes etc.
- [Dashboards](/features/dashboards) — Visualise telemetry data
- [Alerts](/features/alerts) — Create alert rules and service level objectives
